Getting around: The hotel's downtown location links guests with the extensive Skyway system; visitors can walk for miles through the elevated system of climate-controlled walkways connecting downtown buildings. Accessing a myriad of restaurants, shops, and entertainment is possible without ever stepping foot outside.
Visitors can easily stay busy with all the attractions and fine entertainment downtown. However, if they wish to visit the nation's largest mall, they can cross the street and take the #180 express bus to the Mall of America for less than $5. In addition to public transportation, taxis are convenient for quick trips. For longer distances, rental cars are useful and are available online.
Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP): Approximate driving time to the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis is 20 minutes and distance is 12 miles.
Driving directions from Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport: Head west on MN-5/I-494 and continue on I-494. Then head north on I-35W. Follow the signs for the downtown exits and take 11th St (not 11th Ave). Continue to 2nd Ave and turn left. Turn right onto Nicollet Mall and proceed to the hotel on the right.
Getting there: Taxis ($20–$30) and shuttle vans (about $15 per person) are available for transportation to the hotel. Town Car and limo service is also available for more than $36 and should be arranged 24 hours in advance. All fees subject to change without notice. Taxis can be found at both the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals. For Town Car, limo, or shuttle service, travelers go to the ground transportation area one level below baggage claim.
